Notching on saw cut-outs
- The Notchers has proven itself for many years in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Russia and Singapore.
- Previously, the notcher was used on cut-outs or incisions made with a milling cutter.
- Now there is also a pioneer for the application with sawn cut-outs. The Grothe joinery in Bad Oeynhausen, Wulferdingen district, proceed as shown in the video and pictures below.
- For example, it can be used to notch cut-outs in doors.
- With the Notchers eliminates the need to chisel out the inner corner remnants with a chisel. This minimises the risk of damaging the workpiece and is quicker.

After sawing, the inner part is held by bars in the inner corners. These are cut through.
Remainder in the inside corner
After sawing, the inner part is removed. A remnant remains in the inside corner.
Notching in the sawn-out cut-out
The remaining webs in the inside corners are removed with the notcher. To avoid tears, the panel is notched from both sides.
Notching at all 4 corners of the cut-out
The moving part of the notcher is guided slowly from top to bottom without jerking.
Inside corner notched after saw cut
The saw cuts were made on an Altendorf sliding table saw. The remainder in the corner was removed with the notcher.
Finish in the inside corner with the chisel
If there is still a trace left, it can easily be scraped off with a chisel.
