Sizing saw and notcher

Notcher MZ 02 90F A
Notching at saw cutouts
- The notcher has proven its worth for many years in Germany, Austria, Switzerland as far as Russia and Singapore.
- Previously, the notcher was used on cutouts or notches created with a milling cutter.
- Now there is also a pioneer for the application with sawn cutouts. The Grothe joinery in Bad Oeynhausen, district of Wulferdingen, proceeds as shown in the video and pictures below.
- It is used, for example, to notch cutouts in doors.
- The notcher eliminates the need to chisel out the inside corner remnants with the chisel. This minimizes the risk of damaging the workpiece and makes it faster.
Pay attention to safety! Insertion milling BGHM
Sawing with emerged saw blade may only be performed by experienced professionals. Link see below.
Cutouts with insert saws
The cutout is made on each side with a saw cut in the plate by insertion sawing. Observe safety!
Separating out the inner part
After sawing, the inner part is held by bars in the inner corners. These are cut through.
Rest in the inner corner
After sawing, the inner part is removed. A residue remains in the inner corner.
Notching in the cutout
The residual webs in the inside corners are removed with the notcher. To avoid cracks, the panel is notched from both sides.
Notching on all 4 corners of the cutout
The moving part of the notcher is slowly guided from top to bottom without jerking.
Inner corner notched after saw cut
The saw cuts were created on an Altendorf sliding table saw. The rest in the corner was removed with the notcher.
Finish in the inside corner with the pry bar
If a hint remains, it can be easily scraped off with the chisel.
